We often talk about fabrics that particularly lend themselves well to hand stitching with beads and embroidery threads. Today I was looking through my favorite on-line source for quilt fabrics -- www.equilter.com -- and I came across a fabric series that has several fabrics that look like they're just begging to be embellished : ). Here's a link to them: http://equilter.com/cgi-bin/webc.cgi/st_main.html?catid=228&start=1&sid=93LKiA2z65GY7Ik-30112260907.2c. There are three pages of fabrics in the "Marblehead & Stonehenge Collection"; the mosaic, Art Nouveau (see image below), and tile panels all look like they would be great fabrics to use as the base for beads and decorative threads. If you end up using any of them, please send me pictures. Thanks!
